Part 8 || When we built the world's first Dodge Demon powered SRT-10 Truck, I had no clue how fast it would turn out to be.. 800hp of tire roasting, rubber laying, supercharged fun! BUT... We set out with a goal, to make this truck faster than the 2018 Dodge Demon that inspired it, and today we chase that 9.65 1/4 mile pass!

After, of course, doing another round of mods!

DEMON TRUCK SERIES:

Check out the whole ScrapLife Family!

Have a wild Mopar build story of your own? Maybe you've bought a totaled Hellcat or Demon to turn into your dream car? Be sure to tell the story in the comments!

It deserves a new paint job after all that’s been done to it. You should black out the front grilles & get some form of LED headlights.

It’d be cool for you to modernise it into an SRT10 that dodge may have built after that version 👌🏻

Last year this channel had me driving round in a Vette. Next summer Im throwing HREs on a salvaged 911. I hold this channel responsible for these decisions😂😂😂 They make it look easy. Please dont graduate to Lambos and Raris, I dont think my pockets can handle it 😂😂😂😂😂😂 #inspired

Great video! Nitrous bottles have siphon tubes that are angled towards the output valve, you'd get much better nitrous flow having the bottles on a 30 degree angle with the valves facing forward and down. The way it is now as the bottles get lower youll be spraying mostly nitrous gas (air) and not the liquid nitrous. The difference can be substantial especially as the bottles run down.

Put the tailgate back on- The air bubble it creates in the bed will provide less drag going down the track than with it off. This will help more than any weight savings...

@48:00 Skip the paint job, but please vacuum the interior.

this is by far the coolest truck on YT. I vote no paint, and more weight reduction, can the power windows be replaced by manual windows? Is the sound deadening material under the carpet really necessary? heatercore needed? You said you went back to your highschool Honda days when you took the air filter off, tons more Honda things to do!!

As someone who has painted a car, you never enjoy it as much after because you're always worried scuffs and marks, keep it as is!

‼️Rear blower bolts — on a Cummins equipped truck there are two rubber grommets on the underside of the cowl. These are used when removing the 4 rear pushrods pulling them up through the cowl past the wiper arms.

Not sure if this cab has these holes and grommets, but I know you could easily add the holes, touch up paint them and add some grommets. Make future blower work much easier.

Can use a 90° drill or adapter to pilot hole then open them up with step drill. Did this on my 2007 Fummins conversion with engine in.

I know ya ain’t skeered to drill ‘er either🍻

That rear axle impresses me with that kind of HP going through it, and not puking! Great build and videos, thanks for all the work!!!

You HAVE to paint the demon truck the same pink as the demon

I prefer the beater look. This is a cool truck that isn't what you would expect. The faded paint adds to the story. Once you paint it you loose the history. I like the abandoned look. If you could find some old beater wheels that are straight it would even be better. Keeping the spoiler was important. I'm glad you didn't ditch it in your quest for a lighter truck. Keep the vibe the way it is.

Hell during the winter if you do the bottom end an change the stroke bore it over a Lil possibly bigger or ported blower 🤔. You could probably push thar that to the low 9s maybe lower with a bigger shot of nitrous. Either way we definitely wanna see more of this truck. As always great job guys. An Great build. Definitely looking forward to the 170 build as well. An love the lime green tool boxes. Im a sucker for the green boxes an tools lol.

You should definitely consider getting TBM brakes! they wll drop a couple pounds and have a good chance of being just as strong as the original SRT10 calipers and rotors

If you want a fun truck to build, the 2nd Generation SVT Lightning is a blast. They are light and built for drag racing from the factory.

I’ve been watching your series now for quite a while and I think this was my favorite episode. The editing and commentary was really well done. Congrats on that 9 run! I knew you’d hit that when I saw the deep wrinkle in the sidewalls on the launch 👊🏻💯🫵🏻 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
