Relocating your Winch Control Box | Warn Winch Install

Показать описание
Most modern winches have a detachable solenoid allowing for relocation. In this case we will be working with a WARN VR EVO and relocating the solenoid under the hood of a FJ Cruiser. To relocate the solenoid we needed to make custom power cables to account for the extended distance and properly wire the winch.

Many after market bumpers simply do not have the space to fit a large winch and solenoid while being fully enclosed (without looking like a big metal box that is). We will be installing the winch with our Stronghold Bumper for FJC.

Paint pens are cheap.
As soon as I started fiddling with custom mounting a winch in my vehicle, I purchased some at the same time as I purchased more suitable bolts.

Any info or pictures on the mount you used in the FJ? I’m doing the same.

Great vid!! Did you run the cables through the hole behind the headlight or the hole behind the blinker/side markers? Looks like behind the headlight, but after I look at mine, I don’t see any possible way of running them through that hole..
