I did this same thing about 5-6 yrs ago for my Cherokee. I also wired in a switch for TC lockup and 1st gear hold. I used to love doing this kinda stuff, but my body is getting older and I can't do it as easily as I used to.

You can simplify the wiring by using an on/off switch with an embedded LED. Eliminates one hole and one wire. Not a big deal, but I think it makes for a cleaner install on both 3 & 5 wire winch setups. Aside from that, I followed your method last night and got it working and it looks great. Thanks for the tips!

So for your next video could you show us how to wire a Jeep JK Rubicon how to run my lockers turned on in 4 wheel high in the transfer case. I need more tire speed for 38's in the snow and mud!!

Hey Bleepin Jeepin splicing the wires from the control wouldn't work?

I have always thought that in situations where a lot of movement is possible (as in a Jeep), crimp connectors are less likely to break than soldered connections. Am I wrong?

That little square with a dot in the middle on the power line is à fuse right?

Nice work. Having an in cab control makes sense. It would be nice if you could wire up a relay to detect when the hand control is in use to interrupt the in and out signals from the in cab control. This would prevent conflict between the two controls.

houston we have a "winch" problem, my best story is fishing trip remote area of Canadian Rockies, going down a cut line ( bulldozer freeway ), stuck in little gully - winch cable pinched my remote wire, no tape literally used first aid kit bandages to avoid shorting out, btw luv my warn m8000 on yj!
