I have 3 years of professional experience with PHP and had no interaction with Python so far. I just started with Django and i find it similar to Laravel, and got no issues understanding Python code.
It's the basic concepts understanding that matter, these are universal.

Front-end frameworks have won the battle these justDjango series are monotonous. At least make some more tutorials on Django rest..
