Wow. .22 caliber. They really nerfed his gun, considering the original was chambered in .45 Colt ("Long Colt" was etched on the barrel but is a colloquial designation of the .45 Colt round).

3D reboot is fine, but Vash's revolver being a .22 is criminal.

Studio Orange really knows how make really good looking 3D CGI anime. Beastars and Land of the Lustrous comes to mind.

The 3D is not only impressive, but it is GENUINELY so expressive and alive! Really adds a fresh new spin to the anime without taking away what made the characters so lovable in the first place.

The CGI is really good and expressive. The fact they actually animated the mouths to match the vocals/vowels is a lot of detail. Maybe one thing that kind of bothered me is just how much movement there is, where instead of going from pose to pose, the characters constantly move.
Example. When the girl asks why nobody is helping the protagonist out, she turns around and then motions with her hand. I get that this is an advantage CGI has over 2D but it is just not something I'm used to.

People might not like the look too much, but in my opinion, it's got a bit of a cyberpunk feel to it, despite the whole desertpunk aesthetic of the original. But it and the CGI honestly looks pretty clean.
