Man, yesterday when I woke up and got out of bed, I collapsed to the ground. I couldn't stand up. I was too dizzy. I had to crawl to the bathroom because it was either that or I piss/shit myself. While in the bathroom I was thinking "THIS IS IT! I'M GONNA DIE! OH THE HUGE MANATEE!"

It wasn't it. I drank a glass of water, ate a piece of bread and I was fine. I was severely dehydrated. My AC didn't turn on like it normally does so I was just absolutely baking and sweating for about 5 hours. Normally, I'd be okay. It's happened before but I guess I was a bit dehydrated before I even went to sleep. Also, I have a pesky, lingering neck injury that exasperated the whole ordeal. Neck injuries can cause a lot of dizziness.

If you find yourself getting dizzy a lot and have no other symptoms, obviously go see the doctor but you just might have a neck or spinal injury and you don't even know it. Looking down at your phone a lot is a common way to do that :p (also riding dirt bikes).

What it do, guys! I forgot to turn down the ISO after the check the lume and I think I like it a little higher. It's not that noisy! On my monitor #2, it's super washed out, though. Oh well. It's been a ridiculously busy week for me so I'm surprised that I got this video out! Anyway, I hope you all have a great weekend!

Welcome to the Vostok rabbit hole!! I have 4 different Amphibians so far. The only one that hasn't been modded in any way (even the canvas style strap was decent) is my Amphibian #SE-420B06 with the fully lumed dial and 24hr indices instead of 12hr indices. I love these watches!! They are super easy to regulate, and you can mod the crap out of them!!! Thanks for sharing!!

Great review! Vostok has stepped up their game a lil, the bracelet is not an abomination as they all used to be, a lot of the options come with decent silicone straps also now. Also, seems they are going with the stainless crowns all the time now, they used to be chromed brass, even on the Amphibias. And only the Amphibias used to be stainless cases, the Komandirskies were chromed brass. Also the bezel is actually decent now.

Btw, for avoiding overnight dessication from faulty ACs: have at least 1 (ideally 2) glasses of water next to your bedtable: one uncovered (so it evaporates over night and keeps a bit of moisture in the air), and one covered (or in a bottle), for drinking when you wake up.

I have an old Amphibia with the KGB dial that's given up the ghost. I'd been thinking about replacing it, and this cinches it. You must mod this watch. There's so much stuff out there for that. We need to see what you'll do with it.

Hey Curt, nice review & great harmonizing by the "boys" on "Check the Lume"; catchy little number! ;-) Btw, I'm a big fan of Vostok with half a dozen of them, mostly Amphibia's & Komandirskie's. One thing I do love, is sure they are a little rough around the edges, but built like a tank & can be regulated to be very accurate & fun to mod. Straps, bezels, crowns, hands, even crystals can be changed easily!

Vostok are such great watches for the price first smaller watch that got me into wearing 38 mm . I highly suggest a Vostok if your looking into smaller pieces and don't want to spend a ton just to see if you like the size plus they look great on a lot of Natos .

Nice review and love the musical score 👏🏼 I Got the K-34 which is a higher price range Vostok and really like the quality including the brushing but just thought it was slightly chunky. I’m going to get another one at that $75 price range because they look fun. I’d love to see a strap video and like a Bonetto Cinturini on it and maybe some other straps. Thanks 🤗

Looks like the bezel issue is crystal distortion. It looks fine to me. That said for a $75 watch I wouldn't complain.
