The question by the journalist was " if we were to go like Indonesia which printed Lord Ganesha pics on notes, wht would ur choice of God would be? I find it simpler in these terms with a little empiricism added.
GDP= govt spending + non govt spending + net exports
= ( fiscal deficit - 0*tax) + K (fiscal deficit -federal tax) + net exports,
K being an empirical factor on the order of 4 for USA (I have plotted it) and maybe higher 5 for India. This factor is an economic multiplier between transactions in the economy and fiscal deficit, the prime mover. The reason for 0*tax is govt does not use tax for anything but trash. Federal tax, however, removes money from the economy.
The economy runs on fiscal deficits. And taxes reduce GDP. All we need are more deficits, the prime mover of the economy.

INDIA where are you heading? What is happening to my amazing country? I left India 10yrs ago...i think laxmi helped me to leave the country and told me son dollar is better. With all respect to my fellow young Indians...try to leave India as quickly as possible. Let us redefine terms and name created money after the goddess of prosperity.

FISCAL DEFICIT = BHAGYALAKSHMI

Now the exact money balance is

FISCAL DEFICIT = BHAGYALAKSHMI = NET PRIVATE SAVINGS + NET IMPORTS

which means our own money feeds both private net savings and net imports (after conversion to dollars at a miserable exchange rate.)

For India BHAGYALAKSHMI is queen and fully sustains the people.

This is intuitively obvious.

It is high time that LAKSHMI is printed on all bank notes to know that RUPA is also her name!

Another name for the economy is SUKHAADARAM which follows the tradition of naming a field by the most important concept in that field, like BHUGOLA for geography.

SUKHA+ AADAARUM = HAPPINESS +BASIS = BHAGYALAKSHMI=source of money also is obvious.
