theyre worried cause the developers and writers already hinted at 'not punching down' and taking out offensive jokes. now that theyve seen how many games were DOA when they emphasized politics and political correctness over just fun. the people who were responsible for the glory days of rockstar have essentially all left

There are not review bombs, those games are genuinely terrible, now after gta v and a decade in development, gta vi has a really high bar to pass, this sum to the fact that they changed most of the people who made gta v and the ghost of wokeness, the game has a real potential to fail, seems like the best game in history or suicide squad flop going nuclear and everything in between.

The only reason trilogy got reviewed bomb was not only cause of a lot of things within the game

But it was also cause no one asked to be spending 30$ (or so) when I can buy them or play on gamepass an ps+

No one in the community wanted it and it did horrible and it got what it deserved


But no GTA6 will stick to the hype and I don’t see how this correlates with this topic

I mean: how much difference in environment and climate is there between L.A. and Miami? With Miami being simpler and more boring geographically, I'm only attracted to the swamps. players didn't "criticize decisions", they rightfully downvoted a terrible cheap cashgrab of a mobile port. Rockstar might be "acknowledging the negative impact" but they should also have acknowledge their own mistake that caused the outrage in the first place. If the Trilogy or San Andreas Remaster would have deserved their names and not be an outsourced piece of digital garbage, then there would be no "fires to put out".

Their reputation was very high but their publisher was greedy and decided they can pull a Skyrim on the franchise and resell cheap knockoffs without any Quality Assurance team behind it. Did it cost them money to recoup? Oh boo hoo, i'm gonna cry a big corporate river.. What about the thousands of loyal players who have been robbed of their game-purchase budget for a month, because Take 2 wanted to make a quick buck on one of their iconic brand names.

Rockstar doesn't need to fear review bombing, they need to fear their publisher.
