"So the shell's job is the same as a youth pastor's - prevent penetration."

Immediate thumbs up. Just outstanding.

I don't even own motorcycle. I simply watch your videos because I am just baffled by your video quality. The editing, the script, the jokes. I feel like like I am watching some high budget program.
hope you will keep making the best content.

I absolutely love he doesn’t just say “this is the best helmet buy this one here’s my code”
But actually explains WHAT makes it a great helmet then let’s you deduct which one you want. Bravo my guy

I got hit at almost 60mph and I walked away scratched but fine. The SHOEI helmet left my head and face unscathed after several rolls and bounces. It's a bit more expensive but SHOEI has my vote of confidence!

Ryan ... love those "motorcycle oriented" physics "chalk talks" ...

it's great understanding the theory behind how (and why) our bikes react and respond the way they do under specific circumstances

Riding with a Shoei RF-SR helmet I bought a couple years ago. It is the best helmet I've owned. Very quiet and comfortable.

When he started to tape it up I was hoping he would put a "DOT Approved" sticker on it.

Mandatory disclaimer: people should check the details of the ECE rating they see on helmets. 22/05 and 22/06 are quite different and not many helmets are up to the 22/06 standard just yet!

Helmet manufacturers: *hide how many EPS layers their helmet got*
Ryan: *cut the sh*t open for his viewers to see*

Conclusion: don't crash on a running angle grinder

Hey, Ryan. I am a dog owner and motorcycle rider, and sometimes those are hard to mix. I see you have many videos on many subjects, but not one about pets on motorcycles. I would love to see you test out some carriers and giving advice on this.
All the best now, you are great.

I have the Shoei RF-1400 because of this video and it is everything Ryan said. It is incredibly comfortable (once on) and very quiet but it destroys your ears taking it on and off. The trick is to tuck your ears in to the helmet before you pull it down over them. This reduces the discomfort by 50% but it still smarts a little. Other than that...darn near perfect helmet.

Every time a new Fortnine video comes out it's like a little Christmas

I would still arque the safest helmet is to not buy a Yamaha R1 as your first bike

Did I need to know what's in a helmet at this point in my life? No.
Did I watch and like?
Yes. Anything from you is a light house of luminosity in this age of cluttered white-noise.

Hey Ryan, I thoroughly enjoyed hearing you on Lowside/Highside. A F9 podcast would be a blessing from the motorcycle gods

Bro. I am not by any means what soever personally into motorcycles. I mean, I respect them but for me they are just not at all something I need or want.

BUT.

I discovered your channel and I watch it all the time. idgaf about helmets but I love how you put things. Its so awesome .The engineering and the humor and EXCELLENT production quality is why I watch this channel.
