is this a good first car? i would be buying one at the end of 2013.... are they reliable? i heard they are extemley slow,

I think the front looks a lot better then the 2009, has more chrome and less black. Storage? You have a hole on the left side of the driver, 2 in the center under shifter, and that small glove box that you showed, not to mention the full glove box. Plenty of space, not to mention did you know it has a pull out draw under the passenger seat? Not enough get up for passing? Maybe you should be patient and not be speeding. If you need extra kick hit the D3 button located on the side of the shifter.

I have an 07 cr-v in my family, I like it a lot :).

I only like the new rims, the front chrome kinda kills it....matte black is the way to go.

@redspartan8 My honest opinion: the CR-V is the best choice, there is not comparisson between both cars, especially in terms of reliablity and quality of materials. The tucson was improved respect to the previous version but there is not a proper record of reliable hyundai (even new hyundai have serious defects) so, before buying a Hyundai, there are more choices like Toyota, Ford, Nissan, Mazda and if you want to pay a bit more, some German but probably terribly overpriced.

There is more than one engine offered for the CR-V.

A V6 engine should provide good passing power on the highway.

I really WANT to like this car because I am a Honda fan but the lack of power and dated cargo arrangements are really disappointing to me...a V6 RAV4 is much much better in that regard...with 269hp it's crazy fast for what it is

if you're planning to buy this vehicle, let me warn you; do NOT look at the tiguan, specifically do not SIT IN the tiguan. its interior is so good that you wont be interested in the crv anymore.

I know Honda is known for longevity and lasting for 300, 00 miles plus. How about this one, does it have the same report? Anyone have one with high miles. If so what to look for that could go wrong with higher miles in this crv.
