Fun fact: In the Bad Ending, the light inside each animatronic only appears to shine through _one_ eye, while the light inside Golden Freddy (in the background) shines through _both_ of his eyes. This symbolizes the fact that each of the main animatronics have only _one_ child's soul trapped inside them, whereas Golden Freddy has _two_ souls trapped inside him.

ok it took me a while to notice the difference, the difference once it says “bad ending” the masks eyes light up because they are trapped in the animatronic. but when it says “good ending” the eyes on the mask are not lighting up. meaning the children’s souls are put to rest

I also noticed as I watched it for the 3rd time that when the person shows the two screens, the good ending, as springtrap 'dies' in the suit, the background and floor tiles light up 2:01

Tbh I always prefered this as the ending of the series over all the other ones afterwards, all the games afterwards (excluding 4) seemed to go in a much more science fiction route I think, I understand why people would like that but I much prefered the gritty atmosphere of the original trilogy. I also feel like FNaF 3 was also a great conclusion gameplay wise in terms of storytelling, The first 2 games shown the victims of the Purple Guy as enemies but I really enjoyed how 3 finally made Purple Guy be the main threat to the player because it was poetic in a way and it gave closure to the series without feeling too bloated. I understand why most people enjoy the Pizza Sim ending the most due to the drama and perfofmace of it, but to me this is the ending of the series, It was quick, simple and felt bittersweet while not sacrificing the original atmosphere that the series had imo.

Remember when the eyes are glowing that's the bad ending because the kids are still stuck in the heads 0:57
And when the eyes are not glowing. That's the good ending because. The kids are free from the souls and the heads are put a rest 1:45

It was both. So the reason why I believe this is because if the good ending were to occur then the souls would've been freed via fire (because fire is the only way to destroy remnant, dismantling animatronics ain't gonna do nowt) but also the bad ending can't occur because then the animatronics would've been present in FNaF 6 so. The bad ending happened, the parts of the animatronics were taken to fazbear's fright, then when the fire occured, the good ending occured
