Billy Meredith: The Original Welsh Wizard

The histories of both Manchester City and Manchester United would look very different without the influence of Billy Meredith, who played for both clubs and took them to new heights of stardom, especially with United, whose website calls him their 'first footballing legend'.

Not only that, but he helped instigate a change for player rights by formalising a players' union, which helped instigate positive changes in how clubs treated their players.

In this video, Hazzabhajan tells his remarkable story from the mines of a small village in North Wales to regional, and then national, stardom, and everything else in-between.
