out of the blue made me wonder - have you read the girl from the sea? its a sapphic graphic novel with some magical elements. my favourite graphic novel ever as well :-) if you haven't i definitely recommend it 💗

that was a romance books-filled month! I'm glad you had fun with it :)
I'm quite the opposite here, altough I love some romance I still have a lot of fun with the high school ones! Though I agree with the american part of it - I get that I probably read a lot of american authors, and it's completely normal that their inspiration is their own high school experience, just... It's not my experience either (but I didn't go to high school soooo that doesn't help) & I'm kinda tired of the same setting again and again? A bit like straight stories, I've read enough of these at the moment :')

I've also been on a big romance fix this month !! Idk if you've read it but the misadventures of two reluctant zombie hunters is one of my stand outs, idk I think you would really like it, its about a lesbian couple who role-play as zombie hunters and then an actual zombie apocalypse happens while they're at a comicon 🤣
And then a straight romance novel well romance isn't really the main focus, is yolk by Mary H.K choi I love it so so much !! Its about a woman and her sister who live in new York who don't really talk much until her sister gets cancer its so heartwarming, p.s i would read about what the book is about before as it contains trigger warnings
