M1 iPad Battery Drain Test/iPad Mini 5 vs 10.2' Budget iPad vs iPad Air Gen 4 vs M1 11' & 12.9' Pro

Hey Everyone!
Welcome to volume 3 of my battery drain test series where we get our favorite tablets together and have them rough it out K.O.T.H. style to see which one has the best battery.

The best part for you, aside from some light hearted entertainment, you also get insights onto the ordinary uses we typically utilize our iPads for. There was no crazy benchmarking, no exporting videos or anything of the sorts. Why? Because the AIM of the video is to REPLICATE REAL WORLD USAGE.
My tests are not final and the results shouldn't be taken too seriously because, realistically, few people will be using their iPads ON for 7hrs+ continuously. I tried my best to capture the typical users and if my videos helped you determine which iPad is right for you, then I did my job :)

I think the problem with the Pro models is that once you use some very demanding software, e.g. photoshop or video editing, the powerful M1 can give you a very smooth experience but will drain the battery fast. The entry model will not run such software smoothly, but won’t drain the battery so fast.

I know the iPad 8 won in this test, but I’m really happy with my 11 inch pro, 7 min won’t do any difference for me and the design and overall use it’s a must for me

8 hours and a half using GoodNotes with m1 11” and it’s still at 31%. It’s amazing considering it uses 120hz all time and it’s a vector-based app.

OMG. I JUST UPGRADED FROM THE IPAD MINI 3 TO THE IPAD 8TH GEN AND OH YAASS! So listen to this, I neede to upgrade iPads. I was looking at the budget iPad. But I saw... THE IPAD PRO. I wanted it but way too expensive, I got the iPad wishing I could’ve gotten the iPad Pro. But now I saw this video. I am SO happy with my purchase! Thanks for this THEJUAN&ONLY For doing this now I am happy with my iPad and Apple Pencil!

If you set the brightness to 28% and use headphones, the 11” M1 can last 16 hours on YouTube, 33 hours on Amazon prime.

Awesome video! I own both M1 iPads and the budget iPad 8. To be honest, I thought iPad 8 would win more easily (hopefully, your battery is still at full capacity). That son of a gun (iPad 8) is a battery BEAST!
I absolutely love the screen of iPad Pro 12’9! (I wish I could get a ~27 inch Mini-Led XDR monitor). However, its battery does take a hit in certain situations - HDR etc (it looks so amazing though <3)
