I feel like the CRM has been built up to be this universe's version of the galactic empire. We've got all our little rebel groups out there going against the grain and they'll use the CRM as the foil. How Daryl ends up in France is still mystifying to me though lol

I believe Rick has to be working with the CRM most likely high ranking officer similar to Jadis but obviously he's way more important as she said in the world Beyond. He knows he can't leave because it would put his family and our whole group at risk. Him and Michonne will most likely team up with whatever Rebels are left over from the world Beyond and they'll be a huge Rebellion. That's what makes the most sense off of everything we've been given. I would love to see in the finale a scene of Rick current day with his CRM gear on!

The actress who played Carol said she doesn't want to continue playing in the show, so that's the reason Carol won't go with Daryl. And that's the most terrifying thing for me, because they may kill Carol in the finale of TWD to excuse her absence in the Dixon spin off.

My conundrum is that Daryl wouldn't leave Judith unless Rick came back at the end of TWD and he thought it was safe to leave her. If she's taken and he follows her that makes sense, but that's also the only logical reason Maggie and negan would team up. So they can't really do a series based on both the same premises. Maybe Judith (if she's ricks daughter) has some of the "cure" genetics and they need to take her to France and she agrees because she's an optimist and wants to save the world and Daryl will only let her go if he comes with and they only have 2 spots on the boat or something idk. Very parallel to the last of us, and or most zombie movies but it's all I can think of

My theory for the Daryl Dixon show is that after Daryl sets off in the series finale, after some time he makes contact with the CRM. He's taken to one of their bases where he learns about Rick. In order to meet Rick or to get him back, the CRM sends him on a mission to France. I don't really see any other way this could go. He would have absolutely no reason or way to cross the Atlantic without the CRM so they will 100% be involved.

Im not sad either, just excited for what that series finale will entail. Im predicting that its gonna be an hour long instead of the usual 40-ish minutes and that itll have information on Rick. Maybe theyll go through Commonwealth documents, discover the CRM and their connection with the Commonwealth, and itll say "By order of Commander Grimes" or something (assuming Rick is valuable enough to be a high ranking officer in the CRM), as I heavily doubt we'll get a full-on reveal of him.

I want padre to connect to the crm so bad is because imagine how Madison Clark just gave up on her children because she knows whoever behind padre will just kill her and force her children or the people they care about to continue their work, and that's a good reason why Rick didn't come back, like he tries and tries but this is like the saviors war all over again but 10x worse, he did succumb to being a worker in the crm

I would love the idea you proposed of Rick being away because he found out that he is the cure, with the solid explanation of the brain re-starting. Only thing is I am hesitant to trust the writers with this and expect something mid-level. Not breaking but disappointing for potential.

On the Daryl Dixon one, the only thing I can think of that connects France is at the end of season 1, Jenner is talking to the group about what the zombie plague actually is. He mentions that "France was close, but we don't know" meaning that in France somewhere, there is some valuable data that the CRM would like. How and why Daryl is going to France are beyond me, and I agree that it doesn't really make sense.
