U.S. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has seemingly promised California "more water than you ever saw" by tapping into what he described as a "very large faucet" from Canada's rivers and melting snow caps. However, University of British Columbia (UBC) economics professor Werner Antweiler says the idea isn't as simple as Trump made it out to be.

The idea of stealing water from Canada goes back to the 1960s, when NAWAMPA and GRAND were first proposed. The cost of building either would be hundreds of billions of dollars, and the reality is Canada needs that water for our own use.

BC gave millions of liters of water to Nestle for almost free so why not give millions more to California? I'm being sarcastic of course.
