'Prince Harry Cross-Examined on Second Day at High Court'

Prince Harry appeared in court for the second day in a row on Wednesday to give evidence in his case against Mirror Group Newspapers.

The Duke of Sussex is suing for damages, claiming journalists at the Mirror and People titles gained information unlawfully, including from phone-hacking.

Harry told the court that press intrusion and reports about him created distrust in his relationships.

On Tuesday, the duke singled out Piers Morgan for criticism, claiming the former Daily Mirror editor had subjected him and his wife Meghan to a “barrage of horrific personal attacks” in the hope he would back down from his legal action.

The trial still has two more weeks to run, including witness and closing statements.

Mr Justice Fancourt is expected to deliver his judgment later this year.

I heard piers Morgan say the most disgusting things about Megan and Harry on ITV Breakfast it went on for months I just switch of everytime he started off in the end a lot of people including me complained to off com and some time after he left the program

By his own admission, Piers Morgan knew about illegal voicemail hacking years before it became a public scandal – and he did nothing about it.

Though he was a national newspaper editor at the time, he did not expose it. Nor did he alert the police or take any steps to ensure that it didn’t happen at his newspaper. He simply turned a blind eye.

This was a dereliction of his duties as an editor, journalist and citizen. Worse, if he had done the right thing when he says he first knew about it, thousands of blameless people might not have suffered unwarranted intrusion and press cruelty. It is no exaggeration to say that, if Morgan had acted responsibly, Milly Dowler’s phone might never have been hacked.
