Other than Corvettes, I have never seen new cars on a carrier "covered" in plastic!

I would never do business with a guy like this.

Why charge for it? Profit yeah but do they really need $1k extra that bad? Maybe full body ceramic coat or clear bra could be a considerable option? Straight from dealer to a shop that can do this instead?

This video made me want lead infused paint more than Cilajet.

How about I can add a cleaner and a paint protector for allot less than $995 and do it again and again over the life of the care until the residual value of the car is minimal. In fact the amount of time I spend on the product I use and the time I spend doing this job of protecting the paint is minimal compared to $995. This is a time where dealers are adding add on's to the car and selling the car with so many add on's that percentage wise the add on's are starting to approach the sales tax placed on the vehicle by the state.

I’ve been in aviation for 25 years… it doesn’t cost $1000 to wax an aircraft the size of a SUV or minivan! A bottom of the wax may cost $50. What another way for dealers to pad their pockets. 🐂 💩

Modern paints are far more durable than any lead paint in the 70’s. What a gimmick.

Steve. I know the whole world revolves around yourself. But, if you expect your audience to listen through this particular video whilst the camera is fixed soley on your image, you need to mic up your guest and consider the noise in the showroom.

Steve your sales training is right on par for used vacuum cleaners back in the 80’s. Great job brining back those ridicules sales tactics. Once again you give undeniable proof that you still live up to your reputation as the widely known clown 🤡 of car sales. Stop this nonsense and go spend time with your family.

While paint protection (and clear bra) may be beneficial in SOME areas, do yourself a favor and have it done at a local small business for pennies on the dollar instead of lining the pockets of F&I. Same goes for extended warranties and gap insurance. Anything the dealership is selling is double market value minimum and can be had from a third party with equal if not superior benefits.

What a load of crap. If you take the time to look after the paint. Wash and wax will keep it good

80s Simoniz, 90s Teflon sealent, 2000s Ceramic coatings. All just fads.

Do your research. Lead was NOT banned from automotive paint in the 1978. You need to quit saying that. Here's a clue: check out the 1971 law Pub. L. 91-695, with 1978 CPSC implementation. Did not apply to cars. 16 CFR 1303 SPECIFICALLY excludes cars. Some or most manufacturers may use less or no lead now, but it did not start in 1978 with anything close to being removed from automotive paint.

It's just more profit for dealers, offers no real protection.

The reason new cars are transported covered is because they must arrive in perfect condition to the store, a simple rock chip could easily cause need for paintwork, which would de value the new vehicle. Not 100% sure how you came up with the "new paint is softer than lead based paint" line of complete bs, or why you are allowing such ignorance to be broadcast on YT?
Maybe stick to subjects you have a bit of knowledge in, like how to rip marks for higher commissions?
