We know the brand-new Nothing Phone 2 is launching on July 11th, and a couple of weeks ago, I spent time with Nothing CEO Carl Pei at the Nothing Store in London Soho, talking about current Nothing products, like the Ear 2, yet-to-be-released upcoming devices, and tech & life in general! Incredibly insightful chat and I also got to check out the Nothing design studio, where the products are born! This took a long time to make, so I hope you enjoy it! :)

I like Nothing, their products are playful and the design is different. The Ear(2)s are my daily driver and the Phone(1) is my backup phone. I'm interested to see what they come up with next. You can see Carl's body language is quite open the way he looks up when thinking about the answer means he's being genuine. He really cares about the products the company produces and I think it shows in their upward trajectory.

It's quite amusing how we can be easily impressed by something as basic as an earphone while overlooking the intricate complexity of our own ears. Oddly enough, we often stretch our beliefs to the point of thinking that this intricate organ emerged spontaneously, devoid of any creator.

Nothing made my dream phone.I have nothing phone 1 and it fits me great.I personally don't like spending too much for the phone and nothing phone 1 makes my job done very smoothly. The glif feature is not that usable but it is a beautiful looking phone.

Biggest questions re nothing phone 2 are going to be about the cameras, the battery (as its using last year's chipset which wasn't great) and then the ui experience.

How has Nothing put the fun back into this bit of tech? Is the android skin they've designed for nothing phone 2 good, intuitive, fun to use or gimmicky?

Is the camera app good, does it have manual controls, does it have a 3 or 5 time zoom camera? What sensors is it using? Wondering if this phone if the rumours on pricing are correct might be pitching its tent against something like the honor magic 5 or 5pro?
