I to remember Paul Peterson aka Jeff Stone I knew that he was a advocate for the child actors and actresses. I love Paul Peterson and his music. Don't think that all of us baby boomers have forgotten these sitcoms of the 1950s and 1960s they were one of the happiest part of my childhood.

Paul brought Jay North, the original Dennis the Menace, back from the brink over 30 years ago. Kudos to this genuine humanitarian.

One thing about watching your videos, so many of these shows I've never heard of. I have been looking them up like on Me-TV and on the internet, thanks a lot Dave you opened me up to a lot of stuff I never knew.

Dave, I don't consider you a pop culture historian...you are an aficionado. You are my go to. Thanks for always telling it like it is and was. This is a great channel.

I’ve followed Paul Peterson’s good works for years. He is an inspiring man with an enormous sense of compassion and humanity. I’m an Australian and saw him on The Donna Reed Show when it aired here. His spark and energy in his tv roles became the spark that supported numerous people through adversity and he continues to do that ❤

I have so much respect for how Paul Peterson has lived his life and how he has helped so many child actors who lost their way. In a perfect world there would only be child actors who were from stable nurturing families who would insure their child moved on from the spotlight and into adulthood without the struggles so many face after early fame. But since we know that will never happen at least those who do need help have Mr. Peterson there for them in their time of need.

I grew up watching The Donna Reed Show and my kids watched it in reruns. It was such a comforting show that I still usually watch a couple f episodes each night on Prime. I love all the main characters! As a teenager, loved Mary singing “Johnny Angel” and Jeff singing, “My Dad” to Carl Betz. That still is a tear jerker! Just watched that episode last night. I’ll always think of Paul Petersen as the greatest little brother. Having two of my own, he was very authentic!!

I'm old enough to remember watching The Donna Reed Show, Make Room For Daddy & the others you mentioned. "My Dad" was a really good song. I never knew Paul did all these other things to try & help others. He's truly a person with a kind heart.❤

I knew you were gonna bring up A Minor Consideration. Paul Petersen brought news of Rusty Hamer's tragic death to Jay North (Dennis The Menace) by phone. North himself had an uber-tough time as a child actor...well, when he was starring as Dennis The Menace. His aunt and uncle, who acted as his guardians during the four years the show was on the air, were not that kind to him. You should do a video on Jay North and how he conquered his demons.

I was 9 years old in 1959 when I met Paul Petersen in Disneyland. I got his autograph which I still have! He was a heartthrob to a young girl! Enjoyed your video about him.

Coincidentally, about an hour ago I was thinking about Paul Petersen and the song he released - "Hey, Paula"! I still remember the lyrics! We watched this show weekly when I was a kid.

I've seen videos of Paul Peterson having round table talks with former child stars of the modern area. Even though his and their shows are decades apart, he was able totally relate.
Kid focused networks like Nickelodeon and Disney should have a special division that is there for their former child stars/ cash cows . Heck, all networks that employ minors should be there for the young people once they "outgrow" their usefulness to them. They need guidance and options.

He has sure done some excellent work with former child stars 🌟 I did not know at the time the actor who played Moon Doggie! Now, I do! What a dream boat! 💕 😍

Hi..great video as always..i know you work hard to put these together..thank you..i remember Paul from a favorite movie of the week that i watched everyday and still watch when i look it up
" Journey to Shiloh" stuffed with movie stars..and so funny cause the one actor who said the least in the film was Harrison Ford who years and years later was top- billed. Lol paul played J.C. Sutton.. Man.. James Caan, Jan Micheal Vincent, Don Stroud, Michael Serazon, Michael Burns & as mentioned Harrison Ford. I was a kid so i still love this movie.✌p.s. I totally respected what he did for kid actors. I too salute him❤❤❤

The flying nun was one of my favorite shows as a kid, and I remember Paul Peterson from the Gidget movie. How do you forget Moon Doggie. I'm glad he's helping actors through hard times, I think sometimes families or the actors themselves put too much of their self worth into being an actor and not enough into being the person behind the character. I can see where you can get lost pretty quickly in that situation. Luckily, Paul didn't fall into that.

I'll be very honest I remember watching The Donna Reed Show but from 1964-66 I believe because of the intro and loved the entire cast and actually grew up with Jeff Stone not realizing how we had transitioned from kids to teenagers. Whenever I want to really remember those young innocent times I try to find episodes to watch. Oh to be back to those times.
