I know others have said it, but it’s worth repeating. That small little animation in the beginning makes a HUGE difference when compared to other channels. Keep that up and this channel will only continue to grow like crazy. (You’re already a fantastic instructor without the animation, FTR.) Thanks much for the knowledge share!

I LOVE THAT 3D visual you gave of how you were going to make it in beginning.. NO ONE else is doing sh*t like that. I dig it. Keep doing this. I'm subscribed now. 🤜🤛💪

Truer words have never been spoken, " you have to do it the way it works for your brain" BRAVO!

I seriously recommend giving this cutting board a shot. I tried to go over any many steps as I could so that people could follow along.

You explaining why you do things to work around how your brain works is the most relatable thing I have ever heard. Just found you channel and it’s awesome.

I loved the graphical breakdown on how the glue up will go in the beginning of the video, it really made it click for me how you will be tackling it later on. Thank you! Saving the video to try and make this myself one day!

Very very nice. The wood combination of walnut and maple really make it a piece of art. You almost just want to display it and not use it.

Just to add a small Most of us are ussing every day our planers. Most of the times we are not using the complete width of the blades but just a portion and ussualy in the middle. With the use after few months the centre of the blades start to create a small recurve which is not visuall untill we get to cut the cross grain pieces for final glue up to create the pattern . The moment you flip the pieces to create the pattern, that's were you will get the unpleasent surprice(dont ask me how i know!!!).
A small tip: use fresh blades for projects like this!!! If spare blades are not available than a couple of passes in the middle of the glued up pieces before the cross grain cut with a coarse sand paper (80 to 100 grit) should do the trick.
Good job on your description !!!
Thank you very much for the complete very well explained video!!!!

I love the layout at the beginning. It helps visualize everything else along the way. Well done

Did I just move up a level in woodworking? You talked about the pattern and then you brought it out of another dimension and put them back together. I never would have thought of that until now and I am really just starting to make new things!

I love how you said there are various ways to do the glue up, but you have to do it the way that makes sense to you. So true!

Fantastic project !
The beauty lay in the method of transitioning a complex pattern to realitive practicality, with minimal effort.

My, my your thought process was impressive.

I'm going to try to accomplish this project as my center table.

It’s all been said so what do I say…lol.

Well done my friend…Well done!

3D Illustrations, step by step breakdown of the process, clear concise explanation in a way for us newbies to follow along, precise measurements, that little sliding trick of the pieces while gluing up (new one for me, thanks), what works for you statement, the use of cauls and on and on…lol.

But the biggest takeaway for me was making the maple panels. For most may be obvious but for me…it made my head hurt…lol. I’ve made the brick pattern before and of course did the edge to end that everyone says not to do. Several in fact and nothing has come back…YET…lol.

Oh…and free. I’ve paid for designs that I’ve liked and personally don’t mind throwing a bone to the person that provided the designs. It’s simply a way to support them.

So yes I’ll be buying merch or whatever to support your channel.

This is the best cutting board video Ive ever seen. Love how we went on the journey without, instead of just telling us how to make the board. Keep up the good work!

Very nicely demonstrated on "how to" make understanding the assembly so much easier.
