45" is standard. Have moved our mailbox from 42" to 45" now it has to be 48" in our county. They got new trucks and the road has been redone. Love the look of brick but if I have to move it up every 2 or 3 years what's the point.😂

Use a 4" PVC pipe and a 4" toilet flange to mount the mailbox. Dig your hole, insert pipe and pour some concrete around pipe. Fill the pipe 75% of the way with concrete and rebar. Level/plumb and let dry. After aligning and marking toilet flange holes, drill 4 mailbox holes and attach the flange to the underside of the mailbox with smooth top carriage bolts and nuts. PVC glue and slide the flange on the pipe. Paint your PVC post and you're all set.
