¿can you print something functional in place of the purge tower?

TBF I didn't do much digging, but is there functionality for a "waste object" instead of a purge block? I know that never uses up enough material to fully negate a purge block, but it's nice when it's an option.

What if the filament doesn't reach the sensor? Does it try again?

Do I need that extruder or is there another sensor I can use. I'm trying to retrofit this to an ender 3 Right now I have a micro Swiss all metal hotend direct drive

i have a neat question about ender 3P board when i dig in firmware and configuration files there is pins.h, i dont remember but not all pins are used like there is maybe 9-10 pins are not in us
