Great lesson! Thank you so much for breaking this classic song down in such detail. Much appreciated!

Thanks! All the other guys with massive channels didn’t bother to SHOW me what their darn fingers were doing and where. They just happily rolled along . Thanks for slowing down so I know what to do

Thanks for all the lessons! It’s great! Would you consider Only You Know and I Know by Dave Mason? I learn a lot from your channel. Many thanks!

What a great lesson John, you have covered all chords and fill ins completely perfect. Very impressive one bro.

Thanks for a great lesson! Gonna be playing this one soon in my cover band and this was a huge help!

great video. I was 90% there, this video completed it, with the details, thanks. sometimes we need a little visual to help with the "playing by ear". keep them coming

Greetings from UK John, loved your lessons and courses. I am blind so my current challenges with the guitar are landing on the right fret (obviously can’t do this visually) and knowing shapes like the penta tonics where these are not described orally. I think the first will come with more practice like this lesson but if you could add more oral description that would be wonderful. Thanks again.

Great lesson man, keep up the great work!

Great lesson to do John, will you be doing a lesson on the soloing part of this song, this is the area that I struggle with. Always loved this song. Really enjoy your lessons.

Thanks for some great lessons John. I always enjoy your content.

I like the background but I wonder what happened to your studio? It was cool seeing your gear too.

I really enjoy your lessons! Thanks! I have a question, though. Why do you choose to play the open A instead of the A barre at the 5th fret and why don't you play the C#m during the bridge at the 8th fret with the F#m7 at the 8th fret? I am all about economy of movement, so I am curious? Thank you!

I met Jeff Skunk Baxter back in the 70s. He had Play Drums. I sucked. Them guitar I Sucked again. He told me I had that something but I Sucked. Told me Rhythm is Everything. Just Mute your Strings a Strum away. That was 40 years ago. I still Suck. Painted Airplanes all my Life. Thanks for songs!!!

It's not C#m in the intro. It's Amaj over C# in the bass. You don't have to play all the strings. Just sayin'.🙂

Well, kind of. Really, when they start the tune off, Tommy plays the opening chords as straight root-5 power chords, which doesn't make a lot of sense in the key of the song, but when the band enters, he does E5, D5, but then a C#/A diad. Kind of like the D5, but with the C# bass note. No C#m in the intro.
