Little known fact about this recording by the Doobie Bros.
It was widely known as the "best in-studio recording" for many years...The Curve on a spectrum analyzer known at the "China Grove Curve" was used for years for duplication.

As someone who grew up on this music in the 70s and have heard this song untold number of times it’s great to hear it with a fresh voice. No offense to the original, which is obviously great (I still remember seeing the Doobie Brothers perform this on television in 1974, 75? when they first came out - what a great band) but like anything, it gets old after 50 years. That’s why I like covers like this. Great singing! Nice job overall. Enjoyed it
