Why There’s No Road Between North and South America

Ever wondered why you can drive from Alaska to Argentina—except for one small gap? That’s because of the Darien Gap, a 100-mile stretch of dense jungle and swamps between Panama and Colombia. It’s wild, dangerous, and practically impossible to build a road through, thanks to the rough terrain, extreme weather, and local wildlife (think snakes and jaguars!). Governments have also avoided building a highway there to prevent illegal activities like drug trafficking from spreading even more easily. Some adventurers have crossed it on foot or by bike, but it’s no easy trip. So, for now, the Pan-American Highway remains broken, and the Darien Gap stays one of the last true roadless frontiers!

when I was in Panama, the US Military would not even fly helicopters over the Darien. Because if a helicopter went down in there, recovery would be impossible. The thickest triple canopy jungle any where. And the land beneath is not flat, deep ravines and high steep ridges. The road in Panama that runs north and south, ends about 2 miles south of Panama City.

Correction: it is South America And CENTRAL America. America is divided in Three parts: South América between Colombia, Chile and Argentina. Central America: between Panamá and Mexico and North America: north of Mexico.

And there are NO TWO CONTINENTS 😂😂
AMERICA IS ONE CONTINENT !! FROM PATAGONIA, ARGENTINA TO CANADA.

Highly suggest to take a basic tutorial in geography before posting this miss informed type of videos.
