I hope you understand you can never take the mask off. Once you take the mask off, not only can people identify you, but most importantly your character is exposed. Having gone through the forum you are pressured to invite everyone you know, from your friends and family, to your childhood bully. Decide how far you want to go before you start, they will pressure you to move quickly but it's important to take your time as not to lose yourself in the underlying messaging that they are instilling.

A friend invited me and I went to several landmark forum meetings. My impression is that it's basically like Tony Robbins for a weekend. I imagine most groups get weird the deeper you get involved with them, including friend circles and families. You can't glean the good from anyone who has good stuff to offer if you avoid all others entirely. This guy just gave the key.

Brooo, I remember doing landmark forum at the request of my Mom. My sisters and I, all in our teens, joined up and only did those three days, but I remember having people yell at me during the most emotional parts of the experience.

Like dude, I’m 15. And this middle aged woman was given licence to go off on me for the pettiest stuff.

Helped later when I got to have a turn but we each felt better as a result. Helps for my marriage 15 years later

For all the people saying “he was just saying it’s a constant learning progress.” No, it’s more than that, you would be surprised to how bad political algorithms are, on both sides of social media.

I intentionally consume both left and right content, so that for the most part any feed relating to politics is pretty balanced, however, once you’ve seen the contrast between left and right social media, you’ll see how damaging it is.

It’s not about just constantly learning things you like, it’s also partly about listening to what you don’t like, and eventually finding common ground with the people in that conversation.

And this does two things, one, helps you realize how much left or right leaning you are in your beliefs and can help you redefine a belief you previously had, and two, the more you hear what you don’t like, the stronger your existing values become.

I also participated in the landmark forum and paid my way up to the differently level programs before eventually deciding it was not for me and dropping out. It definitely opened me up to taking control of my life. My favorite phrase was that we are all "meaning making machines" and have the power to create "breakthroughs" for new possibilities. Haha freaking awesome to be able to relate to this video.
