Green Tikka Macaroni
Ingredients for Boiled Macaroni:
Kolson Elbow Macaroni 1 pack
Water (for boiling) 2 liters
Salt 1 tbsp
Oil 1 tbsp
Ingredients for Green Chutney:
Green coriander 1/4 cup
Mint leaves 1/4 cup
Green chilies 1/4 cup
Lemon juice 2 tbs
Ingredients for Green Tikka Macaroni:
Kolson Elbow Macaroni (boiled)
Kolson Green Tikka Sachet 1 packet
Boneless chicken (cubes) 1/2 kg
Ginger paste 1 ½ tbsp.
Garlic paste 1 ½ tbsp.
Yogurt 1/2 cup
Prepared green chutney
Lemon juice 2 tbsp
Corn flour 1 tbsp
Cream 2 tbsp
Water 1 cup
Oil 4 tbsp
Slurry (corn flour 1 tbsp + water 1/4 cup)
Heated coal pieces (for smoke) 1-2
Oil (for smoke) 1 tsp
Directions for Boiled Macaroni:
1. In a pot heat water and bring it to a boil. Add salt and mix it well.
2. Add Kolson Elbow Macaroni and cook for 7-9 mins or until 80% done.
3. Drain water and rinse under cold running water. Add oil and mix it well. set aside.
Directions for Green Chutney Preparation:
4. For green chutney, grind green chilies, mint leaves, coriander, lemon juice in a grinder. Set aside.
Directions for Green Tikka Macaroni Preparation:
5. In a bowl add chicken, yogurt, prepared green chutney, 1/2 tbsp of ginger paste, 1/2 tbsp of garlic paste and 1 ½ tbsp. of Green Tikka Sachet and marinate the chicken well. Leave it for 15 mins.
6. In a pan heat oil and add remaining ginger and garlic paste and cook for a min.
7. Add marinated chicken and cook for 3 mins. Add water and bring it to a simmer.
8. Add remaining Kolson Green Tikka Sachet and cook for 10 mins.
9. Now add corn flour slurry and cook for a min.
10. Add cream and mix it well. Give coal smoke for a min.
11. Add boiled Kolson Elbow Macaroni into the gravy. Mix it well and serve.
12. Your Green Tikka Macaroni is ready.
