You should do a video about the return of Blockbuster. Streaming services have proliferated SO MUCH, and raised their prices SO MUCh, that a brick-and-mortar store that lets you rent movies actually sounds super attractive.

The solution is to cancel the membership when this directly affects you. If it hurts enough people, then it will be reversed by netflix. If not then people can follow along and rejoin netflix, or not.

A small tip for WireGuard and OpenVPN: make sure you're configuring the clients to use full tunnel VPN in order for the Public IP to match the server's, and not split tunnel.

I had a Netflix account because the kids used it a lot. I rarely did. When they moved out, we kept the account just to give them a bit of a financial break when they were starting out on their own. When the new policy was announced, I decided that it was not worth my while to keep the account and worked out a termination date that was mutually agreeable but well short of the termination date. Turns out that neither of them saw any great value in Netflix any more so, regarding us, Netflix is now minus one account. They would still be collecting a monthly fee if they had left well enough alone. As with most economic decisions like this, they saw their service as maybe more highly valued by the customer than it really was.

tailscale actually uses wireguard to connect you, they just make it several times easier to setup and connect to. same security, slightly different visuals, and much more noob friendly setup.

I pay for 4 profiles & I'm gonna fucking use them. They wanna try shit I'll give em the middle finger & cancel altogether. They don't realize that with account sharing they get more people using their service than they do with everyone having their own account because not everyone can afford it.

We have Netflix for the simplicity to watch a show or movie, this workaround has so many steps I'll end up cancelling the account and go back to downloading over torrent again
