Can a REAL 737 Pilot fly the Default Boeing 747 in Microsoft Flight Simulator?

Join me in the flight deck live for a somewhat entertaining stream as we see if I can fly the Default 747-8 from Amsterdam (EHAM) to Cardiff (EGFF) in Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Flying IFR hopefully the default ATC will provide us a guiding path to our destination. Of course, being a default aircraft, it won’t be anywhere near as accurately modelled as a high-quality 3rd party aircraft but since release Asobo have made several tweaks and improvements!

This sure could be a fun flight!

It'll be a sad day for aviation when there are no more 747's flying. They were always such an impressive sight to see, I don't think I'll ever get tired of or stop being impressed by seeing something so big take flight.

Great videos. Good to see more r/w drivers getting into FS! You do such a great job and I am sure simmers learn and appreciate these. (so, note below is just info, not criticism)

Shift+Ctrl+G, should bring up TOGA for take-off. 747 autoflight is similar to 757/767, need a pitch mode before engaging (center) autopilot. That's normally VNAV or FLCH but never Very Special err, I mean Vertical Speed... ;-)
Doesn't look like these airliners in MSFS are operationally modelled enough to be flown per basic real life procedures but it is great to see there are various mods coming forward (amazing progress already on the A320Neo one, in particular) that may change this, just like we see with what the Zibo group has done(for free even) with the default X-plane 11 737.

1:28:04 I feel like in the 747-8 in msfs you're kind of on top of it, I mean you technically are, but I mean you should sink in with the wheels when you land and not "almost" hit your wingtip on the ground when using the rudder

I feel like the center of gravity is a bit messed up with this plane

The default aircraft aren't as good as those of the 3rd-party developers (PMDG, Aerosoft, Quality Wings, FlyByWire & Zibo, etc.) on other sim software like FSX, XP11 P3D but it's going to be a while before we get them on FS2020 although I think they will be worth the wait. Still, landing at Cardiff (my local airport) was fantastic! The AFS didn't even need to change out of their pyjamas!

My home Airport is Cardiff... At one point there were over 15 747s there. Two weeks ago I watched the Landor takeoff, it was great. Nice stream keep it up!😃👍🔥👏

Did anyone discover a problem of wings on default 747? The spoiler on left and right wing both are up during turning left or right. How to fly?
