I have a lot of amber jewelry. I have an endodontist that happens to be fascinated with amber. The first appointment I had with him, he was just tickled by all my jewelry and asked if I could take some off so he could look at it under the microscope. Sure! He found some pretty interesting stuff in my jewelry that he showed me on the screen. It was really fascinating and now I wear that jewelry more proudly than ever! I’m not just wearing something pretty, I’m wearing earth’s history! 😊

i dont know why some, a lot of people cant geek out on this. to see something perfectly preserved as it was when it was still alive over such a span of time simply amazes me and always will.

Amber is Natures window to the past, aside from a time machine this is as close as we get to seeing something from millions of years ago almost pristine. Sadly Amber takes a good while to solidify and in that time some air from bubbles can cause degradation, but not enough to totally ruin it. Amazing stuff.

Amazing video. In Riga, Latvia, there is an amber museum called 'Amber Queen', they have an entire lobster preserved in a big chunk of amber.

Whenever I crack open a fresh geode, I can't held but wonder how many hundreds of millions of years old the air inside must be. And so privileged to think I'm the only human to have ever touched these crystals, to have ever laid eyes on them. It's an amazing experience.

I have five pieces of Amber. And each piece does have insects. One of them was the biggest termite I had seen, up to that point.

If amber can preserve and itself last for millions of years, would it be worth to use it to preserve books, documents, seeds, anything important?

That’s amazing! Wearing amber jewelry isn’t just about style, it’s like carrying a piece of Earth’s ancient history with you. Knowing what your endodontist found under the microscope makes it even more special. It truly connects us to a time long before us.
