4:56 The dog suicide bridge was already solved - turns out the bottom of the bridge was a breeding ground for wild minks, an animal hunted by dogs in the past, and whose scent instinctively causes many dog breeds (who were bred to hunt them) to leap off the bridge in pursuit of the minks. The reason no scent was detected was because mink odor is undetectable to humans, but is overstimulating to dog noses, who can smell other scent spectrums. Now they just forbid people from walking their dogs on it, both to protect the minks who made the bridge their home and dogs from killing themselves, or hurting the minks.

They solved the Salish Sea feet thing a while back. The bodies sunk, decomposed enough for the ankles to detach, and then the buoyancy of the sneaker's materials made them float to shore.
