*Instructions:*
*1.* Open up the photo frame and remove the glass/plastic pane
*2.* Place the pane inside the box and trace it with a pen
*3.* Remove the pane and cut on the inside edge of the traced lines
*4.* Remove the cutout and use tape to secure the pane in the box
*5.* Draw an X on the box lid as shown
*6.* Position the box to reflect the X when looking at it front-on
*7.* Trace a line on the back side of the box as shown, then measure and mark the middle.
*8.* Cut a small strip in the middle of the box, then fold it out and apply velcro to connect it to the lid.
*9.* Use tape to reinforce the strip.
*10.* Draw a straight line from the corners of the box to the end of the cut strip.
*11.* Cut from the corners to the strip to make room for the camera lens.
*12.* Position the lid and box together as shown and secure the velcro strip at the back.
*13.* Prop up and position your camera behind your teleprompter using books to get it to the right level.
*14.* Place a black t-shirt over the camera and back of the teleprompter to darken the inside.
*15.* Download a free teleprompter app on your phone which supports 'mirror mode'. I recommend 'Teleprompter for Video'.
*16.* Change the app's settings to use mirror mode, a black background, white text and large text size.
*17.* Place your phone in the tray of the teleprompter and start filming!

*BONUS TIP:*
_The velcro strip at step 8 is a weak method of connecting the box to the lid, but allows it to easily be dismantled and stored and gives leniency when adjusting it and setting it up, if you don't need to fold it back down to a box and you want to just send it up permanently, I would recommend using glue or tape to connect the two pieces.

Thanks for checking this out y’all! This is a design I came up with when I was just starting out on YouTube and I used it for my first 100 videos!

If you have any questions about it, reply to this comment and I’ll try to help you out.

I've gotta do somethin', 'cause the one I bought doesn't fit my A500 mounted above my monitor. I have to jury rig it in place every time & it drives me up the wall.

"build this thing and then download a teleprompter app that literally has a setting to use the prompter on screen while filming. Makes sense.
