I’d be interested in seeing a more in depth video on making those light covers. Making your own ones at home would never even had crossed my mind, cool project!

Very informative.

I was saddened today finding out that Brick in the Yard is no longer open. They were a wealth of knowledge.

I'm going to be making a custom third brake light for a custom car build. I recently found that car companies and aftermarket lights were available in the late 40's early 50's, but they are extremely difficult to find complete.

Thanks again for the inspiration Have a great day 😎👍👍

Adding your dog in the video was a great touch! 🔥

Silicon mold comes in tin cure and platinum cure. The curing can be inhibited by particular things you cast in it, so if one doesn't work, try the other type.

That's cool. I always wondered what the purpose of the different patterns was on the tail lights. Looks kinda trippy.

My personal experience with casting parts like a similar taillight and other clear items like a '57 Ford Truck automatic transmission shift indicator is that the materials for the casting are 'very' expensive! Then there's the cost of a vacuum chamber, vacuum pump and for some products, an oven for higher temp curing plastics. But, at the end of your video, you covered THAT issue! 😍

It’s takes 20% to get to 80%. The last 20% is 80% of the work.

My hobby is old pick up trucks. More often than not the lenses for the stop, turn, etc. lights are missing or broken, or sun damaged. The steel housing will still be good, but the lenses are kaput. I would like to see a video on making a mold for a taillight lens

Have you considered making a channel specifically for your finished projects to draw in a wider audience and directing them to this channel where your work is explained in more detail?

You might be able to make yellow for turn signals and red for brake. Just so long as they match the DOT rules.

Did you just pour the epoxy and then press the two molds together? Or how did that work

Sam can you add your resin to the description.
Also looks like most of your supplies are out of stock.
