I had a Peterson crack on me where the stem met the briar. I mailed it to the factory in Ireland and asked them to let me know, via email, how much the repair would be.  Two weeks later I received a box from Dublin containing a brand new pipe and a hand written letter, apologizing for the defect.  Needless to say I will only buy Peterson's from now on.

I attempted to purchased a Peterson from a tobacconists when I was 23. He said he couldn’t order one for me. No doubt because I had long hair at the time and thought I might smoke something illegal in it. I went to another who had a very nice one in stock. I bought it and returned to the first shop, pipe in hand. There I asked for a tin of Erinmore Flake, paid for it and lit up my new pipe right there in his store. At 70, I no longer smoke. But I still have my Peterson.

Don't be fooled by the luxurious image of the video because Peterson pipes are actually one of the most affordable and reliable pipes out there :) Been a Peterson smoker for a decade now, and I couldn't be happier with anything else. In this day and age when almost every other consumer products seem to become more expensive yet less reliable, Peterson has been truly a treasure for the enthusiasts around the world.

I bought my first Peterson pipe in the 1960s. It started my collection and I still have it. I was lucky enough to know one of the managers when the company factory was in Sallynoggin not far from my home. He gave me a tour of the factory and I watched pipes being made from beginning to finished product. The repairs department was fascinating. They restored any pipe that was sent in and not just Peterson pipes. There was a wonderful atmosphere in the building of craftsmen at work. This wonderful video gives just a taste of what I saw in the hours I spent there. I will never forget that visit.

I will post this comment here and I really hope it reaches the higher ups in Peterson's. As a car structural technician, this video, mentioning the names of each artist is very rewarding and appreciative from a fellow artist. This gave me respect and appreciation for the company. Now I know where I'm getting my expensive pipe from, when that time finally arrives!!!! Congratulations!!!!

I watched this while smoking my briar. Bless you pipe makers. It is the pipe smoking men that will lead us back into the civilized world. The only guilty pleasure even a child looks at with appreciation.

I bought my Peterson pipe about 40 years ago. I haven’t smoked now in many years but I still occasionally put the pipe in my mouth when working in my study and I can still taste the tobacco flavours that have permeated into the wood.

I bought my 2nd Peterson pipe a few weeks ago. I had one and lost it about 45 years ago, but I had other pipes. I now have more than 90 pipes in my collection. I was glad to add a Peterson back in.

I was looking an Irish Army pipe and this has sealed the deal. My father passed away a couple of weeks back at the age of 89 and I’ve inherited his Falcon, I think this would be a good companion as the start of a rotation. Thanks for sharing. All the best from Scotland. GD

This really makes me appreciate my pipe more, knowing just how much skill and attention to detail went into it.

Have a tear in my eye watching this and thinking of my father smoking Eirnmore in his Peterson, he would only use a Peterson, he has passed but I think I strike up one of his pipes in his memory.

I have 6 Peterson pipes and I love them all. I had the honour of sitting next to Bill Ashton in his shed watching him turning my pipes into shape, these pipe makers are perfectionists.

This video was so well done. Very cinematic and gives you that feeling of the emotion that goes into the process of making these pipes. Really really cool video.

I’ve been smoking pipes since 1964 and tried many pipes from many countries. I recently bought a Peterson St. Patrick 2018 pipe and it was as good out of the box as any pipe Ive ever had and better than almost any of them. So good I bought another Peterson pipe the next week. I don’t know what these people in Dublin are doing but they make a fantastic pipe! Today I bought the limited St. Patrick’s Peterson tobacco and it is one of the best tobaccos I’ve ever smoked. My wife loves the smell and I love the taste and the coolness of the smoke. Hey Dublin people, you sure know how to make a pipe and how to blend tobacco! I salute you!
