I think there's a real problem of TRUST. I remember having phone conversations that seemed to have an echo - or unusual extra sounds - and thinking that my phone was being tapped. I remember knowing how that would sound, in general, if I made that known to more than a few people - basically, like paranoia. I remember when many people in America also had the same sense about phone tapping, and I remember when that was considered a "conspiracy theory". I also remember when it came out that the NSA was tapping the phones of regular Americans and when they admitted to doing so. Frankly, after that, I take the accusation of "conspiracy theorist" with a sizeable chunk of salt. That seems to be the standard epithet applied to discredit someone, even though it has been proven several times to be inaccurately applied.

Nothing says "what we do is super legitimate and definitely not illegal at all" like shutting down the moment you get your first legal challenge.

Oh, Aisha is saddened by Musk defending his business interests. Let’s not question the agenda of social media “moderation”.
