UNI player here. You guys will be fine.

If anything, Melee has one of the biggest grassroots scenes that I know of and even before the "EVO age" you guys were doing just fine running your own events that had Melee. If Melee was still being ran before your playerbase exploded due to exposure from Samox's 2013 documentary and making it in EVO 2013 then it should certainly be relatively easier for you guys to survive this "setback". I hate to beat a dead horse in this comment but If the UNI community is able to thrive despite having just a fraction of the Melee community's playerbase then far be it from me to tell you guys that you guys can't do the same, especially since the "same" was being done back in the old days. I would hate to think/see that you guys have forgotten your "roots" after having a "taste" of that juicy "EVO exposure" for 6 years.
