Thank you for the great video and simple explanation. I have a concern though, if I close the excel/csv file that is linked to the Google Sheet, it loses the connection. Is there a way to keep the connection even after closing the excel/csv. I would like to sync the data from GS to csv and link the csv to QGIS as a joined table to shapefiles. If you have a solution to this, or anyone who reads this, please assist me. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for this video.
I would recommend using a different approach today doesn't require to wait for the 5 minutes republishing to take effect.
Instead of doing publish to web, it's possible to share the file and set "anyone with the link" as viewer. Then replace the end of the URL link to be "export?format=xlsx".
This causes excel to read the Sheets file, regardless of publishing to the web.
Then any refresh of the query in Excel, will bring the most up to date data.

Hi, I have an issue with this where when a change is made in excel it wont send that change back to google sheets. This means the link isnt bidirectional, do you have a workaround for this?
