Exercise Video for Cancer Patients and Cancer Survivors

Показать описание
Exercise might be the last thing on your mind after a cancer diagnosis. It is important to understand how a good fitness program can help you build up your strength, improve your mood and help your recovery. The American College of Sports Medicine recommends that cancer survivors “avoid inactivity.” Studies have shown that exercise can:
· Decrease fatigue and improve sleep
· Improve mood and self-confidence
· Decrease depression, anxiety, and stress
· Strengthen muscles and bones
· Improve balance, posture, and endurance
Exercise is recommended for cancer patients during chemotherapy. Any fitness activity can pose some potential risks to health. To reduce and avoid injury, a doctor should be consulted before beginning any exercise program. Be sure that the area within which you will exercise is appropriate for physical exertion. When you utilize Carol Michaels videos and/or participate in virtual classes, you are performing exercises at your own risk. CarolMichaels/RecoveryFitness LLC will not be responsible or liable for any injury or harm you sustain as a result of your participation. If you experience any nausea, shortness of breath, feeling of lightheadedness, irregular heartbeat or other health concerns, cease exercise immediately and seek assistance from a doctor.
