Post Reports: President Biden steps aside

On Sunday afternoon, President Biden released a statement announcing that he would stand down from seeking reelection in the 2024 presidential race. The statement came after weeks of mounting pressure from members of his party, many of whom expressed concern over his health and speculated whether he would be able to beat former president Donald Trump.

The decision to hand the candidacy to Harris should have been made directly after the win in November 2020 and announced 2 years ago. This would have provided ample time to get the Harris campaign up to speed. A single, transitional term from a guy who has already served for decades would have been legitimate.

Regrettably, the very "unsmooth" way this change has happened puts the world at significant risk.

Over here in Europe, no serious person (including conservatives) believes that a second Trump term will produce a net positive for the world.

Personally, i'm someone who listens to a lot of different point of views in my Political beliefs I like to hear both sides, but I can't help to feel like this.
Move by the democratic party is dirty. I like to think that my voice matters on who the people want to run the country. I think our democratic politicians have shown us that it really doesn't.

Forever a patriot, a respectful man. No buffoonery from Joe Biden, EVER. Sad to see so few men like Biden and Obama before him, in the role as President of the United States. The constitution should be amended to read: No buffoons, liars, felons, or sexual deviants may apply for the job of POTUS. That way "We, the people" actually have a REAL CHOICE...
