And he is right D CS would not have helped that girl. They put on a good front but I have had a DCS worker tell me that they would rather see a family together in a shelter than place the children with other family members in a house.

This was a tough situation but his parents should have taught him about the importance of knowing the age of girls.

As a parent to 5 children, 2 of them are gentlemen, my children watched how I treated my 20 year old girlfriend. I didn't take her into my life until I was fully established. How I met her parents and sister. Got her a job at a major bank so that she can fund her Flamenco mastering life. I also funded her higher education in an university in Spain.

My first son was older than my gf. I think it's important to show your kids that you don't date a lady until you are fully established and also to support your lady through higher education. That you own a home with bedrooms for every child she may want.

If you show them a decent way, I think children will know when is it appropriate for them to start dating.
