J.J. Abrams spent months putting the finishing touches on Star Wars: The Force Awakens and didn’t lock down the final picture until November. During post-production, he had to sort through hours of footage in order to deliver a film that would please the fans. As you might expect, a lot of stuff was left on the cutting room floor. I feel like most of these would have made the film better. Especially the one with Ben Solo on the Millennium Falcon... Would have added a more emotional connection which was a bit lacking.

Just because she would use the force wouldn't make her a "secret Jedi". She could just be a force user. And even she says "I'm no Jedi", which would mean she could still be a force user.

The floating hand shot, while cool, wouldn't have really made sense. Luke lost his hand on Cloud City, which is a floating settlement over the gas giant planet Bespin. If the hand just went out of an exhaust port or some other such aperture, it wouldn't float off into space. It would do what objects do when affected by gravity: fall. Specifically, fall towards the core of Bespin. Maz was a Force-sensitive smuggler, so it's highly likely that she visited Cloud City (being a metropolis and all) and found the lightsaber somewhere there. She probably could sense that it had a strong connection to the Force because of who the lightsaber had belonged to, and picked it up. It wouldn't have just been floating through space toward Takodana though.

I know most people hated the prequels, but Lucas, while he may not be the greatest director, was a great Storyteller. I wish he crafted the story for Episode 7-9 and let someone else direct it.

Abram's version of Star Wars seems convenient and filled with loopholes. Instead of "mysteries to be solved", all we get is "wait till the next movie." Lucas' A New Hope was complete in itself and had a satisfying finish.

I hate how all this money gets spent on all these movies just to find out later about all this good shit that got cut out. I understand the reasons for it but it felt so short watching this one in theatre

There was audio of Snoke talking to Ren, telling him why he was so powerful. Some of the audio was used in the first teaser. The part when you hear "The dark side, and the light..." Ren comes from both sides which explains his power.
