Some parts of Italy’s longest river have turned into stretches of sand due to the lack of rain as the country's northern regions face a severe drought.

Haha, I live at Lago Maggiore and water is a bit lower than normal due to less snow and rain over the winter on our side of the Alps. On the other side of the Alps everything was completely average with all lakes having normal water flows. A couple of years ago there was massive rains and German rivers were flooding( like they have regularly done for hundreds of year) but before that similarly hysterical reports about the river Rhein not having enough water was being showed. Obviously competent reporting is hard to find…
