Celebrating Our Heroic Telecommunicators!

We couldn't say it any better! Check out this touching poem and video tribute to the fantastic 911 caller takers and dispatchers. Our very own Duty Officer, Tim Keough, created the video, which spotlights all the critical work these heroes perform daily. It also serves as a poignant tribute to Communications Operator III Nikima Thompson, who passed away from COVID-19 last May. She is believed to be the first telecommunicator in Florida to die in the line of duty. A special thank you goes out to Lt. Kelly Walger of the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office in Richmond, TX., who authored this beautiful poem.
