New Peugeot 3008 SUV turns on the style at Paris 2016

The Peugeot 3008 MPV has been reborn as a compact SUV. Set to rival the Nissan Qashqai, it's gone on show at this year's Paris Motor Show - Peugeot's home ground. It will go on sale in the UK from October, with deliveries starting in January 2017.

The raised ride height, upright nose, long bonnet, body cladding and roof bars all give the new 3008 a more utilitarian look. But the wide grille, LED lights, sculpted bonnet and floating roofline add a dose of style, too – a huge step on from the previous MPV-like design, especially thanks to the large 18-inch wheels.

What a brilliant transformation! My Mom had the original one and it was a good car despite being hideous from the front.

Has the 2008 gone out of production? Though not at all that capable i'd still class the 2008 as an SUV and therefore unless i'm mistaken, it is the smallest in the range.

It looks much better than the old 3008 which was a truly dreadful car.
