LUNG SOUNDS Taught In Under 14 Minutes...

Lung sounds are one of the greatest assessment tools we use as an EMT or Paramedic. Lung sounds will be one your main EMT skills. When we auscultate lung sounds the sound we hear allows us to make decisions during patient care.

Putting together the patient history, vital signs, chief complaint, and patient assessment such as lung sounds allows us to make treatment and transport decisions as an EMT or Paramedic.

I wanted to create an in-depth lung sound video, where I can have you listen to the lung sounds live while I then teach you about the sound you just heard.

I really hope this video clears up any lung sound related issues you were having in class or on NREMT exams.

Be great,

Evan, The Paramedic Coach®

Dude, I'm in EMT school right now and this cleared up lung sounds for me. We've not really gone into Crackles = CHF/Pneumonia, but rather CHF = crackles. This made it super confusing and difficult to remember what is what and when.
I'm just going to note down everything from here as a cheat sheet

At 10:38 he says "low blood pressure" when referring to hypertension. Not nitpicking just pointing that out to new students. Hypotension is the medical term for low blood pressure
