2:00 The stones are actually put there by the council as part of our sea defences. They act as a sea wall slowing the waves as they come in during storms. Most of Eastbourne and Pevensey is reclaimed land and below sea level. Originally the sea came right up to Pevensey castle.

My dream home would be a nice cottage nestled in the Scottish Highlands near to a loch with mountains all around, and a nice real fireplace with a comfy chair and a well stocked drinks cabinet

I Want My Hat Back! Saw it at the Shed and have rewatched lots of times. Such a great performance!

I applaud the total absence of Pigeons on this walk

I have very recent and fond memories of Eastbourne, the seafront and Pevensey. I’ve moved away temporarily, but would like to come back some day. There’s a lovely coffee shop near the bandstand which is nice to stop and enjoy the seafront. The fish and chips from the pier aren’t too bad either!

After living in a van for the last 6 years 🤔 I think our dream home would be a nice little cottage with a big garage and somewhere nice and quiet but good for walks 😉

Dream home would be on the edge of a forest, near the sea but also near London. Not much to ask.

Love your watercolours. Funnily enough my dream home would be not far from where you walked. Normans Bay ….on the beach. I can see Eastbourne in the distance from where I currently live.

My dream house would be in a luxury treehouse in the canopy of a forest, in a country with warm weather all year, except for 2 months of snow from December 1st - Jan 31st. It would have a lift, but id cover the outside with wooden planks to maintain the aesthetic.

Also the forest is near a beach, which you can get to in 10 minutes by getting into a small open top train that winds slowly through the branches of the trees.

I did a similar walk to this back in March- my main memory is the weird white garden horse! Dream house- mildly haunted lovely cottage with at least one panelled room with an open fire and a nice garden with a large pond. Has to be within easy reach of the sea, in Norfolk, Hampshire, Dorset or Devon. Nice one...

Lovely stuff. There's a pretty brutal 15 mile circular walk from Jevington out over the Seven Sisters, into Eastbourne and back to Jev. Views galore, but my word does it hurt. When you described your dream home it sounded to me like you just need to buy Norris Castle. Ticks most of the boxes! I see one of the coastguard cottages up on Culver Down was recently for sale. That would be a cool place to live.

Love a walk that ends with a castle!

My dream home would be something art deco, but complete with all the correct period furniture too. With either a view of the sea, or an old heritage railway with steamtrains in the distance (close enough to see, but not close enough to ruin any laundry hung out to dry!) also with a really good bakery/deli within a 10 min walk.

P.s I know someone who owns a flat in one of those buildings you didn't like It's nicer on the inside with the views of the tower.. but agree the outside could be improved!

Dream home~small, cosy & quirky with fascinating chimney pots, like the ones in the Mary Poppins movie. Beehives, wildlife pond & an apple orchard. By the sea & near The Golden Cap, Dorset. Zoltar=darn charlatan!

Lovely walk, lovely painting! Sometimes I play 'forest rain sounds' to sleep, and in my mind I build a dream cabin in the woods, with comfy old furniture but excellent appliances. Nice views but the windows aren't too big because horror movies always have those floor to ceiling ones which just turn black at night and they can't see out but they're on full view to the murderer/s outside. My dream forest home would be sans murderers
