Great job as always, Chris. I sprayed that color on a 59 Chevy truck, along with India Ivory white for the second tone. It turned out great. Always enjoy your videos, thanks for all the knowledge on doing it right.

I like that color it's different not an everyday color you see going up and down the road

its good that you said the failing clear should be stripped off. i spray close to the same except i would start at one edge, go to the middle and continue to the other edge as the wet edge stays wetter as you go around to the other side. overall great video...

I was one of the people who recommended the FC740.
Flows out beautifully and has tons of gloss.
I'm great on hoods, roofs and trunk lids with it, but still dialing in the vertical surfaces (a.k.a. couple of runs) 😆
Glad you tried it out.

I always look forward to your video's. The traditionally formulated lacquer thinner is getting harder to purchase for the DIY'er in my state. What is your opinion on using Acetone to clean out paint guns?

How long to wait between base and clear ? Just til dry or is it ok to wait a full day or two or week even ? Thanks Chris. You’re videos are helping me prep for my first paint job

Hi, there looked to be a bit of mapping in the basecoat, around the primed areas. I tend to always dust the base on to start with every time so I don't get any problems and work from there applying heavier coats. I generally thin out and do a dust/ drop coat before lacquer and yes I tack off every coat in between. Did you thin the lacquer at all? Also good idea for viewers to check spec sheet of any lacquer they are using for times between coats ect. By the way, another great video! Good tips for your viewers! Have you ever thought about building your own spray booth? Or even get a second hand one for cheap maybe.. Thanks for taking the time to read my comment.
