He Left USA to Build a Billion Dollar Tech Company in Nigeria is another episode of my promoting Africa series where I feature black entrepreneurs all across Africa who have built successful businesses and they tell us how they did it.

Today I’m gonna be sharing with you the story of Iyin Aboyeji who is a Nigerian Tech Founder who has built and cofounded successful tech companies that are currently worth billions of dollars in Nigeria. He first co-founded Andela and then went on to build Flutterwave which has processed over $1.2Billion dollars in Transactions. I came across him in 2016 when I started my first tech startup and I finally got the opportunity to share his story which is a really inspiring one so definitely watch this to the end.

I love the mindset. "All this disrespect will stop." We must build Africa for ourselves and our children.

Successful people don't become that way overnight. What most people see at a glance-wealth, a great career, purpose-is the result of hard work and hustle over time. I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life..

I found out that I am 75 percent Nigerian. I found this video very encouraging and makes me want to find ways to connect with Nigeria. I am African American.

“This people are enjoying the society because somebody built it”
That line alone, it just perfectly phrased what has been on my mind for a while now

I was one of those people this guy and his crew were training when they started in ikoyi. I stopped when they decided to move to the mainland and then I couldn’t even eat how much more transporting to the mainland. Fast forward they’ve done well and I’m doing good in tech in Aussie. Bless God

This is very inspirational. As a Nigerian who immigrated to US at a young age, now turned Software Engineer. I would like to contribute to programs like this.

that black man pride is a motto of mine too, as an immigrant in another country you get regarded as lower than a citizen of the country you live in, cause they believe we come from nothing and their countries is what is providing a life for us, and some of them come to that country and live with such esteem of higher value, than the citizens and still look down on them. stories like this gives that ginger.

Something about him reminds me of Don Jazzy. He even narrates his stories like Don Jazzy. He's the Steve Jobs of Nigeria

Everyday I come on YouTube, there's at least one Nigerian Entrepreneur that will inspire me. I have used flutterwave before here in Zambia, it's really getting the world by storm and I just learned that it's owned by a Nigerian, wow!💎

I'm ike is a bunch of revelation wonders in bringing these talents in our dear country. Nigeria is the the bet on the black race. I BELIEVE IN NIGERIA 100%. Look at that phrase....tighten up the screws on the leadership....political and social and the sky is the beginning for us. No stopping Nigeria this time around. I can't wait for the launch of the tech city....our own. God bless you richly Tayo and Steven Ndukwu and other wonderful young minds exposing this our new Nigeria.
