Thank you very much! God bless you.
10. America Home Life - inexpensive, for "conservative" customers, [part D, I don't see part G]
9. Prosperity (SBLI) - offers discount term life insurance, they have friendly underwriting for those switching companies.
8. AFLAC -
7. Aetna - a lot of large rate increases recently
6. Accendo - affiliate of Aetna in most states offer 14% discount for householder joining
5. Humana - high deductible G plan for New Yorkers, some free gym memberships
4. Mutual of Omaha - arguably best customer service, they don't cut corners, put forth a lot of effort. They have a lot of subsidiaries
3. Cigna - very friendly underwriting for people switching plans vs others who really jack up prices when people switch companies.
2. Manhattan Life - more stable rates. Not offered everywhere.
1. Allstate - lowest rates so far, but that may change

Extremely helpful. I sold Medicare Supplements from 1987-1999 and find myself shopping for plans as I'm about to turn 65. Eric's video is most informative. I will be calling him with questions.

I am going into my 2nd year with Allstate. They have been wonderful. I have not had to pay one dime towards my health care other than Part B deductible.

I was surprised not to see UHC, the larges medicare supplement carrier. Why did it not make the list?

Thanks for the information. I feel good about going with Allstate plan G just a few weeks ago. I am glad you have them in the top spot.

Mutual of Omaha coming out with lots of new "subsidiaries" sounds like the practice of starting new patient pools and cutting off new enrollments into the existing pools. As the old pool ages, with no new (thus younger) enrollees, the rates go up. MoO is apparently known for this practice... so I'm surprised MoO is on your list at all.

Hi there. This is great information. I was surprised when you mentioned Aetna as not in the top 5. I had been told that due to so many people going with them, they can keep their rate increases smaller. When will you be doing an update for 2024? I am in California and can switch around the first of the year which is when my birth date falls.
Thanks!

I switched out of Cigna this month because of their high rate increase. Switched to Ace. In eastern PA.

Very good info. I'm still weighing the alternatives for 2024. Not to be mean, but it looks like you have a $3000 microphone but it sounds like you recorded the audio on a flip phone. Thanks.😊

Is there a website I can go look at insurance companies and decide on the one I want? I can then contact a agent after I do my research. TIA!!! Good info by the way.

Nice list, and good tip on Cigna. No mention of United American?

The cheapest Plan G here in Florida was the AARP plan by United Health Care.

I'm not sure how much research went into this video. Many large companies who offer nation wide plans are not mentioned. Very disappointing. I also question how reliable this info is

You lost me at #4, Mutual of Omaha. I have some customers who have been with them and have had very high rate increases (no rate stability) and can't pass medical underwriting to get another supplement plan. They have used several subsidiary companies to write new business while raising the rates on people they already have on the books. And at #1, Allstate with a big question about rate stability? Not sure about your rating criteria or the credibility of your list.

I don't understand why everyone seems to think cheap is good.

Thanks for the video. It's great to see someone finally rate different companies by name. Where does Physicians Mutual rate? I went to an information session with an agent and it sounds great but I've always been skeptical 0f insurance salesmen.
